MATINÉ is a Portuguese label owned by filmmaker Luis Campos and produces original creations by selected talents in film and television. The mission of the label is to be a space where creativity can flourish with artistic value for international audiences.
Producer/Director
Luis Campos is an awarded filmmaker, PhD in Media_Arts and alumni of EAVE Producers Workshop, Berlinale Talents, Rotterdam Lab, ZFF Academy, Locarno Match Me and ACE Producers Mentoring Programme. Founder of GUIÕES – Portuguese Language Screenplay Festival, PLOT – Professional Script Lab and DRAMA.pt, collected experiences in film development at renowned companies such as RT Features (Brazil) and Savage Film (Belgium). Was invited to be part of the jury/commission for the Portuguese Film Institute and to be part of the jury in international film festivals and script labs. Was the head of Film & Tv at BRO Cinema between 2018 and 2022 and part of SPi content department before fully dedicating to its own production company Matiné in 2023.
Production Manager
Ana Almeida graduated in Film at the University of Beira Interior, produced several award-winning short films and was head of production for the feature film “A Funeral in the Rain” (2010). Did INOV’ART and a specialization in Film Production at Estudio de Cine in Barcelona (2009), as well as courses in Project Management (Google), Film Production (ColabCine with Antônio Junior from Grafo Audiovisual) and postgraduate studies in Event Management (Universidade Lusófona). Freelanced as production manager for several audiovisual projects, from which highlights “Prisma” for RTP Play. She is the production manager of Matiné projects and GUIÕES – Festival do Roteiro de Língua Portuguesa, PLOT – Professional Script Lab and DRAMA.pt.
